FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – PARTITIONS

QUOTING:

How do I obtain a quotation?
Quotations can be obtained by sending a sketch of floor plan with measurements, including height of partitions to info@whitesongroup.com.au. If height measurements are omitted we will quote you based on a standard height of 2020mm (floor to top of support rail and frontals) and 1900mm (floor to top of doors and divisional panels).

What is your quotation turnaround time?
For all partition quotations, we work on 2 business days from receipt of job details. If you require your quotation urgently please call 1800 77 00 72 and we will do our best to respond in your required timeframe.

What information do I need to provide to get a quotation?
We require a sketch of a floor plan (this can be rough drawing as long as measurements are clear), with cubicle widths and height and the desired partition material. We will quote your partitioning system on 13mm compact laminate if this isn’t specified.

Do I have to have my colours chosen before I can get a quotation?
No, colours don’t have to be chosen before quotation is done. However, patterned laminate is a premium product that differs greatly in price to standard plain colour laminate so please specify if you want this to be included in your quotation.

Will you quote me on supply only?
Currently we supply and install all our partitioning systems. This gives us greater control on the process from quote to completion.

SIZING:

What is the standard height and width of washroom cubicles?
Standard cubicle height from floor to top of divisional panels and doors is 1900mm, from floor to top of frontals and overhead bracing is approx. 2020mm. Standard cubicle width is 900mm.

Do I have to make any special allowances for disabled users?
Disabled/ambulant cubicles require 900 -920 clear inside width and 900 from the front of toilet pan to door. Also the door needs to swing outwards ensuring adequate wheelchair access/circulation space.

Do I need to provide you with partition measurements?
Yes, to compile a quotation we need basic room and partition measurements.

Can I make my partitioning floor to ceiling?
Yes! Floor to ceiling partitioning is becoming more and more popular as privacy concerns are increasingly prevalent. Please check out our T1:90 range here for more information (link).

Can I change the height of partitioning to suit a children’s environment?
Yes definitely! We can lower the height of partitions to enable easier supervision in play centres, pre-schools and infants schools. Please check out our K2:12 range here for more information (link).

MATERIALS:

What materials do you use for your partitioning systems?
We use 13mm compact for 99% of our partitioning systems. This material is well suited to a wide range of wet-area environments and stands the test of time. With no edge joins, it is 100% impervious to water which ensure there is no swelling or surface deformation.

Is 13mm compact laminate suitable to high traffic areas?
Yes, this material is ideal for high traffic areas due to its low maintenance levels and durability.

Is 13mm compact laminate water resistant?
Yes, compact laminate is 100% water resistant.

What material is used for hardware such as locks, robe hooks, hinges, overhead bracing, pedestals etc.?
All hardware is cast alloy and fixings are stainless steel.

My specifications call for 18mm compact laminate. Is this something you offer?
18mm compact laminate is an incredibly solid, strong material and we can supply partitioning systems made from this, however we don’t recommend it as the 13mm is a lot more cost effective, is just as durable and has a much wider colour range available. The colour range for 18mm compact laminate is very limited.

PRODUCTION:

How quickly can I expect delivery of my order?

Can I make changes once I have signed off on shop drawings?

Sure! We are used to working with clients to maximise the potential of their washroom space to cater for special needs and ambulant users. Our capabilities extend to access works which includes ramps, hand-rail work, safety strips and any electrical works required to install automatic doors and lighting.

QUOTING:

How do I obtain a quotation?
To obtain a quotation please contact our customer service team on 1800 77 00 72 or info@whitesongroup.com.au. From there we can liaise with you regarding your project requirements and work out a suitable time for a free on-site consultation if required.

What is your quotation turnaround time?
Quotation turnaround times vary and we can sometimes be held up by sub-contractor quotations. During off-season you can expect to receive your quotation within 3 working days, during peak season quotations can take up to 7 working days, provided we have all room sizes and a floor plan. For standard partitioning quotations, expect to receive these within 1-2 working days.

Do I have to have fittings, fixtures and materials chosen before I can receive a quotation?
No, not at all. While it is good to have an idea of what you like and are thinking of for your project, all we need is a basic layout, room dimensions and partition sizes.

Will you come to the site to measure up?
Yes, we provide on-site consultations for any full washroom upgrade projects. Please get in contact with us on 1800 77 00 72 or info@whitesongroup.com.au to discuss your project requirements.

MATERIALS:

What material are your partitioning systems made from?
We use 13mm compact laminate for 99% of our partitioning systems. This material is well suited to a wide range of wet-area applications and stands the test of time. With no edge joins, it is 100% impervious to water which ensure there is no swelling or deformation.

Can I buy my own sanitaryware items (toilets, basins, tapware etc.) and have you install?
As a general rule we use our own sanitaryware items on projects. This ensures that we have better control over the project and can ensure the products are suited to any particular washroom environment. However, if you are a large organisation or school and have a set product range that you install on all projects, we are able to work in with you to do this.

Do all the finishes you use work in commercial or education environments?
Yes! We are specialists in the commercial washroom field. All products and materials we use are designed for high traffic wet areas.

What is the best flooring option for my project?
Flooring depends on the existing washroom area. As a general rule, we recommend epoxy flake flooring as this is a totally waterproof impenetrable surface which is easy to clean and can be laid on top of existing tiling. This product has been a favourite particularly in schools because of the reduced long-term maintenance costs involved.

PROJECT TIMES:

How long will my project take to complete?
This varies greatly with each project depending on size, inclusions, flooring choices etc. For school projects, we try to work these round holiday periods to minimise disruption to schedules, but a washroom transformation can take 4-8 weeks to complete from site set up to final clean. We provide a detailed works program to our clients before the project commences.
